PHYSICS

The Department of Physics was established in 2002. Practically there is no machine in which principles of Physics are not applied. Even in our ordinary life we use such machines as motor pump, mixy, grinder, refrigerator, motor vehicles, tractors, etc. In our modern life style use of phone, cell phones, audio, video articles, etc, have become inseparable. All the machines used in health care such as ECQ, EEC use the principles of physics. In short, one can say our life has been made comfortable by the application of physics knowledge. Adequate lab facility is available with GM counter, Laser equipments etc. Which may rarely be available in other colleges. This department organizing industrial visits and seminars and workshops in every year.

  Department Activities

• The department organized two days ( 24^th and 25^th Jan 2008) state level seminar on “GROWTH AND APPLICATIONS OF NANOTECHNOLOGY”  along with Chemistry and Electronics & Communication. This seminar was sponsored by Muthayammal Educational trust and Department of Science and Technology (DST) New Delhi.

• The department is periodically organizing workshops for the benefit of the students.

• The department is arranging guest lecturers from various university eminent professors and Industrial visit regularly.

• The physics students are selected for various companies through Campus Interview.
