ALUMNI MEET

Alumni meeting was conducted on 12-09-2010 (Sunday) at 02.30 PM in Seminar Hall, Muthayammal Polytechnic Institution, MCAS Campus.

The Secretary, the Dean, the Principal, Dr. M. R. Lakshiminarayanan, alumni, HOD’s and staff members participated.

·         Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan welcomed the participants.

·         The Dean, Dr. M. Sundararajan addressed the gathering that, such type of meeting promotes friendshipamong alumni. He also informed about the selection of office bearers to the alumni association and rules & regulations of the association. Association should be strengthened by inducting many old students, he pointed out.

·         The Secretary, Mr. Muthuvel Ramaswamy explained the following points during his speech.

o    Meeting should be conducted once in every six months.

o    He informed the alumni that, the group ID will be created to communicate with the alumni.

o    Placement and campus interviews should be conducted in our campus through the contact with alumni.

In this meeting, some old students shared their thoughts and gave feed back about the college.

·         One of the Biotechnology students Ms.Nandhini was proud that, 42 employees in Biocon Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, where she was working are from our college.

·         Mr.B.Raja Studying M.Sc., Electronics& Communication in our college, who was an alumni, was more satisfied with our campus & faculty members 

The Secretary congratulated the alumni and requested them to contribute to the progress and development of the institutes.

During this meeting, the following resolutions were made.

1.    Resolved to conduct alumni meeting once in 6 months.

2.    Resolved to update the profile of alumni.

3.    Resolved to communicate with the alumni through e-mail.
